Every music producer needs this in their home studio

If you're a music producer and are looking for the best studio set up for your home look no further!

Here are some of our recommendations on what are the most essential items to get your home studio up and running.

1. Yamaha HS7

First off you will need a good pair of speakers. We went with the Yamaha HS7. They are the industry standard. If you walk into any top studio you will see a pair of these for good reasons.

They don't give extra bass that you might hear in a kickr speaker which can alter how you level your tracks. What you hear out of the speakers is the truest sound in order to get the best mix.

2. Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface

Next you will need a good interface. I've personally been using this because of the quality and ease of use. It's a plug and play interface, so you can literally plug it in and it will start working instantly with your DAW. It comes with 2 mic inputs and a monitor and headphone control. It has 2 outputs on the back to hook up to your monitors.

3. Sennheiser Pro 280 Headphones

You will need a good pair of headphones to listen back to your mixes and A/B your monitors and headphones. Sennheiser Pro 280 have the best quality sound and give a true sonic picture of what you're listening to. They have accurate linear sound reproduction and soft pads that you could continue to wear without getting irritated.

4. Novation 49 Key Midi Keyboard

One of the other most important things aside from a good pair of speakers is a midi keyboard. The novation midi keyboard is excellent for producing and allows you control right from your keyboard for automating your daw. It has options for scales and arpeggiator as well. All around it has everything you need in a midi keyboard and is extremely durable.

5. Computer Desk

If you can spring for it these next 2 items are add ons that would be great for a home studio set up. A great desk that can hold your computer and monitor speakers and still have some room for a midi keyboard. You also want a desk that is ergonomic if you plan to sit at it for hours creating music.

You want a computer with at least 16gb of ram to be able to process the high end audio software. Here is a link to a Macbook Pro with 16gb on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3VlKYnV
